QUICKSPIN P120 most out of, and more enjoyable than twins of similar capacity. The great thing about the FJ motor is there is torque every- where. With the saddle bags fitted, I did more shopping than weekend riding, and between traffic I'd struggle to have a better ride on anything else. The go is almost always avail- able (it doesn't like super high rpm riding and won't give solid power there), but for 95 percent of riding situations, this is all the motor you'll need. There are three separate engine maps, and I found the most pleasant riding was had in B mode. A was a bit too on/off in the throttle response, C mode not enough. There's also un-switch- able ABS but single map traction control (turn it off and be prepared to do big, long wheelies). At $10,490 for the base model, the FJ represents very good value. For that you get good build quality, that ripping little engine and a chassis you can cover huge miles on just as easily as commuting or scratch- ing with buddies. In all it's a fabu- lous bike I'm sad to be giving back.
