IN THE WIND P30 RAGA FINISHES OFF WORLD TRIALS WITH SWEEP T he 2015 FIM Trial World Championship came to a close in Teo, Spain, September 13, with Gas Gas rider Adam Raga claiming his second win of the weekend and his fifth of the campaign to reinforce his runner-up position in the series, a position that was safe even prior to this double victory at his home GP. For the second day running, reigning FIM Trial World Champion Toni Bou of the Repsol Honda Team, had to play an unusual supporting role to his motivated Spanish compatriot. With Bou again demoted to the second step of the podium it was Jeroni Fajardo, on the Beta, who polished off the top three to seal his third-place in the final rankings, too. Takahisa Fujinami, of the Repsol Honda Team, rounded a difficult season with a seventh spot to secure his ranking in the top-five in this, his 20th year as part of the series. With the 2015 FIM Trial World Championship over, the attention now turns to the closing round of the 2015 FIM Women's Trial World Championship and the 2015 Trial des Nations, both of which will take place in L'Hospitalet de l'Infant, Spain, September 21-22. CN MIC ACQUIRES AIMEXPO T he Motorcycle Industry Council has acquired the Motorcycle Group business seg- ment from Marketplace Events LLC. The acquisition includes the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo), America's premier motorcycle and powersports show, and the only powersports event in North America that caters to trade, media and consumers all under one roof, timed to showcase the powersports industry's new model year product unveilings. AIMExpo's show personnel, sales staff and management, in- cluding AIMExpo Show Director Cinnamon Kernes, and AIMEx- po show creators Mike Webster and Larry Little, will form a new department within MIC titled "MIC Events." "The concept of MIC own- ing AIMExpo is actually quite common in the association world where many trade shows are owned or operated by their industry trade associations," said Little. "This strategic configura- tion makes it much easier to build on existing industry synergies, align the industry's key stakehold- ers, and connect manufacturers and distributors of products and services in a valued face-to-face environment with retailers and consumers who have the greatest interest in their offerings." "Overall plans for the 2015 show absolutely remain busi- ness as usual," said AIM- Expo Show Director Cinnamon Kernes. "For exhibitors, dealers, media, and consumers it's ab- solutely business as usual and no additional actions on their part are required. Our focus is sharper than ever, and the team is committed to producing the industry's best show experience once again this year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Orlando in October!" AIMExpo 2015 will take place October 15 through 18 at the Or- ange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The show is open to credentialed trade and media professionals on October 15-16. The show then opens to the general public on October 17-18. CN Gas Gas' Adam Raga finished off the 2015 World Championship with a sweep in Spain.
