CN III VOICES L E T T E R S T O T H E E D I T O R "Malcolm rang the bell with this book. I loved every page and will cherish it like no other." No Indy MotoGP So we lose another large mo- torcycling event for lack of fan devotion. I recently was sent a survey request from Indianapo- lis Motor Speedway basically asking questions for the failure of the event. I live in the South Bend area and have never seen or heard anything from IMS promoting the MotoGP on radio or TV the eight years of the event. Maybe IMS figures the motorcycling purists are responsible to whip up the fans, or the City of Indianapolis should do the marketing, or the Speedway is so iconic that they don't need to advertise. Well guess what? It's too late now, it's over. Dan Joldersma Malcolm Smith Autobiography So way back in July of 2013, you guys ran a small story about a Malcolm Smith Autobi- ography coming out. Fast for- ward to September 2015 and it finally arrives (autographed I might add). This, my friends, is the real deal. High quality paper, high quality photos, and, if you are of my age group (late 50s), it's a trip back in time like no other. Malcolm rang the bell with this book. I loved every page and will cherish it like no other. Thanks, Malcolm! And thanks Cycle News for giving me the heads up about it! Daniel C. Hirst You're welcome, Daniel. We just received our copy and you are correct, the book looks amazing. We'll have a review shortly. -Editor Loud Pipes Thank you Will Mansfield for telling it like it is. It's long overdue that these "morons" be exposed for what they are. I've been riding for 45 years, road raced and still own and ride three motorcycles that run stock exhaust systems. Tony Vinent Warren Willing, R.I.P. R.I.P. Warren. Oh the joy watching you race then seeing what you have achieved in the racing world. Thank you. Heather Martin Sad. I recall Warren Willing and Gregg Hansford in the 1970s being fierce competitors and excellent riders on the Aussie road racing scene. Saw them race live a few times. Both are no longer with us. Another stark reminder of our own mor- tality. May they both rest in peace Marty Dawson Big loss to all. Recall the six hours at Amaroo with the knees on their leathers tattered by the end of the race, as knee sliders were yet to be. Thanks guys for the exciting memories as a spectator. R.I.P.
