HONDA FORZA QUICKSPIN P114 ing in its happy zone of about 6000 rpm. The Honda Forza uses the company's combined braking system (CBS) that will halt the little scoot up in surprisingly little dis- tance. I always enjoy riding scooters for the fact they have the rear brake lever where the clutch lever should be, mak- ing it feel like a vacuum BMX. The braking power of the single three-piston caliper is plenty for most applications with the rear almost equal in its stopping capability. But (almost) more important than the braking capability for scooter owners is the storage space under the spacious and very comfortable two-person, 28.2-inch seat. Here, you'll find enough space to store two (very) small helmets if they are placed just correctly in the trunk, or a couple of shopping bags. One of the cool things with the Forza is that you've also got the sec- ond compartment in the dash for stuff like wallet, phone, etc, plus a 12V power socket to keep things charged. It all adds up to a pretty solid scooter, and provides a good platform if you're looking to move up to the company's NC700 a bit later in life. But if all you're doing is poking around the beaches or inner city, the 279cc of single- cylinder vacuum cleaner would be all you'll need. There's a surprising amount of bite in those three-piston calipers. ABS is only an accessory, though.
