MOTOGP MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 13/SEPTEMBER 13, 2015 MISANO WORLD CIRCUIT "MARCO SIMONCELLI"/MISANO, ITALY P68 ZARCO REIGNS The middle race of the day was not an average one, even if Ajo Motorsport Kalex' Johann Zarco did win again—his sixth victory of the year, his third in succession. He had been in an early lead until a determined Dominique Aegerter on the Technomag Racing Interwetten Kalex had forced himself through, in what was an almost tactile struggle. The race winner was asked what he felt about this battle and he felt it was something of an aid to concentration. "It was good to fight with Aegerter," said Zarco. "Because he had a soft tire he tried all the time to take the lead. We know he is really strong on the brakes, but to keep the concentra- tion, I wanted to fight with him." The fast moving Alex Rins on the Paginas Amarillas Kalex was up to sec- ond after four laps but it was all about to go wrong for both him and Aegerter. An attempted pass went awry, as Rins could not slow in time and the late-braking Aegerter came back to his line. He took the back wheel of the Swiss rider, who would persevere after dusting himself off, go back to the pits—twice—and finish 24th and last. Rins was also back on his bike and out on track, but disobeyed a signal to drop places and was finally penalized with a disqualification, and a penalty point. Zarco made the most of his newfound lead to run away to win by almost three seconds. Of the crash between his two race rivals, he said. "Maybe [Alex] Rins tried to overtake too early and pass Domi- nic [Aegerter] on the brakes, which is almost impossible. Finally he crashed in front of me and I relaxed lap by lap with the advantage." The second placed rider proved to be Tito Rabat on the Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS Kalex, an unlikely sight up in second after finishing lap one eighth. His run through was impressive, but he had to get over a poor feeling in the early laps, on a bike that had been good enough for him to be third in qualifying. Idemitsu Honda Team Asia Kalex'
