TEXAS TORNADO BOOT CAMP

and precise with braking, steering and accel-
eration and also reinforces just how much you
actually use your core in the steering process.
Give it a try next time you're on the dirt, you'll
be surprised how hard it can be.
More shooting then follows, this time Colin
and the crew set up a time-trial shooting range
where the aim is to nail all the targets on the
stopwatch. Here, you'll also get the chance to
fire a pump-action shotgun, the weapon that
has the most kick out of all Colin's guns.
The third Superpole lap concludes the day
and by now you'll really start to see some prog-
ress. This is where most riders saw the most
dramatic decrease in their times as two full
days of training starts to get ingrained and new
skills come to the fore.
More great food follows, this time a huge Texan
barbeque, with plenty of beer and whatever else
is floating around. You can fill in the blanks.
The final day four doesn't entail much riding,
just a quick free-riding session and your final
Superpole lap followed by the big one, shoot-
ing a 0.50 caliber rifle that's like igniting a small
bomb each time it goes off. It'll put hair on your
chest, I can tell you.
By that stage, unless you have a serious de-
gree of fitness, you will be well and truly worn
out, happy you made it through with no injuries
and feeling real good that one day you decided
to give this motorcycling thing a try.
