fading off the back.

E-G Marc VDS Honda's Scott
Redding had qualified seventh
but finished lap one 14th, feeling
most uneasy with his bike. By
half-distance that had changed,
and he sliced through the lot of
them to take a career-best sixth.
Smith was over a second
behind; while Iannone got ahead
of the fading Aleix.
Another battle for the final
points: won going away at the
end by Alvaro Bautista, whose
Aprilia teammate Stefan Bradl
had crashed out of the gang.
