MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 12/AUGUST 29, 2015
SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT/NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, GREAT BRITAIN
P70
Lorenzo grabbed control at the first
corner, Rossi up to second by the end
of the lap, and Marquez third. Then
Monster Yamaha's Pol Espargaro,
Pedrosa, LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow,
Espargaro's teammate Bradley Smith
and… yes, Jack Miller, up from 16th on
the grid on his Open LCR Honda, and
really mixing it with the front guys.
This came to an end on lap three,
when Miller lunged inside far too fast
at the tight Vale left-hander, knocking
teammate Crutchlow off and effectively
out of the race (he restarted, swapped
bikes, then crashed again). Miller was
also out, and docked a point for his
over-exuberance, which Crutchlow
kindly dubbed "understandable" after
Ducati riders Andrea
Dovizioso (left) and
Danilo Petrucci (right)
made it an all-Italian
podium.
