VOL. 52 ISSUE 34 AUGUST 25, 2015 P47 Briefly... race was decent, I think the track was pretty rough," said Pourcel, "I had pain in one of my ribs from an old crash, so I kind of rode my own race. Pourcel said. Ending up top five overall for the day and top five for the season, so it was all good. In the second moto, I saw Jason (Ander- son) was right in front of me. I didn't want to pass him. I felt like I was just riding kind of slow and following him to do my job (to nail down top-five in the series). Sometimes you've got to do this. It's kind of cool to finish in the top five in my first year here on the 450." Jason Anderson said after the first moto he knew he had a good shot at taking over fifth in the 450 points chase from his Husky teammate Pourcel. "I definitely had a goal of getting as good in the points as I could," Anderson said. "But to be honest, that last moto I was so tired I was just trying to survive. I made it through and I'm pumped for Chris- tophe. He had a good season com- ing back. For me I just messed up a couple of times. I think I had four non-points scoring motos, which definitely didn't help me at all." When the opportunity presented it- self Jason Anderson purposefully avoided riding the 2016 Husqvarna explaining he didn't want to know what he was missing. "I avoided rid- ing it," he said. "We were in Budds Creek for two weeks. The first trip we had our team there and we were on our race bikes and I didn't want to ride the new bike because I didn't want to know what it was like, you know? We came into the next week and our (factory) bikes weren't there second moto, Plessinger simply got stronger as the day wore on, while others tired under the relentless drain of deep ruts and super–soft dirt. Jessy Nelson then Joey Savatgy spent time leading the race in the first half of the second moto. But once Plessinger passed Savatgy he sprinted away to a 10.715-sec- he was using those long legs to get over the braking bumps. He was creative out there and I think that's why he got the overall win." Plessinger ran second to teammate Webb in the first moto, but closed in late and got to within 1.885-seconds of the winner at the flag. In the continued on next page
