BARCIA, JGRMX
STRIKE NEW DEAL
J
GRMX and Justin Barcia have agreed to re-up their
relationship that will see Barcia remain with the
team through the 2018 racing season.
Barcia just finished out the 2015 Lucas Oil AMA
Pro Motocross Championship in third place and will
represent the U.S. next month at the Motocross of
Nations in France.
"We feel like Justin is a great addition to our racing family, and even though he was
under contract through 2016 we wanted to extend his agreement with us long-term,"
said Coy Gibbs, the team owner.
"I really like the guys on the team and the overall atmosphere here, now I don't have
to think about anything but riding and training for a long time. We all get along great and
I'm pumped," said Barcia. CN

ROSSI ADMITTED TO BRDC
N
ine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi has
been admitted to a very exclusive club, be-
coming an Honorary Member of the British Racing
Drivers' Club (BRDC).
It's the first time anyone has ever been admit-
ted to the BRDC based solely on their motorcy-
cling exploits, although there are members with
a motorcycle background (four-time 500cc and
1964 Formula One World Champion John Surtees
being one).
"I am very honored to have been invited to
become an Honorary Member of the British Rac-
ing Drivers' Club. I know it's very
difficult to become a member of
this exclusive club; there are very
selective criteria. There is no rider
in the BRDC, I will be the first and
for this I am even more honored."
"Membership of the BRDC is the
greatest honor in British motor rac-
ing and I speak on behalf of every-
one at the Club when I say that we
are proud, privileged and honored
that Valentino Rossi has accepted
this membership," said president
of the BRDC and former F1 driver,
Derek Warwick. CN
