MCALLISTER BACK TO WINNING
T
he AMA Supermoto National Championship made its annual stop at Miller Motorsports Park, racing
in conjunction with the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Gage McAllister lead every lap to
win his sixth main event of the 2015 season and extended his points lead. The most improved rider of
the year, Eric Stump, held on for a second-place finish. Ryan Kearns rounded out the podium. Dustin
Hoffman, who picked up an AMA Supermoto win at the Sturgis Rally Race, had a big crash resulting in
a broken wrist. It is unknown if he will be able to line up for the next round of the series.
In the National Amateur class 15-year-old Dawson
Schieffer won a tight three-way battle for his fifth
main event win of the year. Scott Hoffman led the
first half of the main and finished in second. Points
leader Steve Alkyer rounded out the podium in third.
Pro Lites points leader Nicky Reimer had to dig
himself out of a poor start after he missed qualify-
ing and was forced to line up last for his heat race.
The Tri-County Powersports rider rode all the way
to third in the qualifying race, lining himself up on
the front row for the main. He would battle early with
Josh Jackson, but Jackson had the most speed on
this day and won over Reimer. Oklahoma's Wyatt
Sperry finished third for his second podium this
season.
