Smith was a safe seventh,
comfortably clear of teammate
Pol, who had endured a torrid
time trying to stay ahead of Vina-
les, until the Suzuki rider slipped
off with seven laps to go.
The pair had been drawing
clear of Cal Crutchlow's CWM
