T
here are a lot of cool and interesting dirt bikes
on the market these days and the Beta Xtrainer
is certainly one of them. The somewhat bizarre
Xtrainer (or Crosstrainer) is an all-new model from
the small Italian company headquartered in Rignano
sull'Arno that made its debut earlier this year and will
return in 2016 as the exact same motorcycle (in other
words, no changes). So, what exactly is the Xtrainer?
Is it a learner's bike, an enduro bike, a trials bike or a
trail bike? Or is it all four of these things rolled up into
one?
Beta defines the Xtrainer as: "…the perfect bike for
riders who wish to play-ride without the intimidation of
a full-size enduro machine or for the expert rider look-
ing to enhance their technical skills."
After riding the bike for the first time, we quickly
came to the conclusion that the Xtrainer is indeed a
do-all play bike when it comes to just plain having fun
on the trail and learning the ins and outs of dirt-bike
riding. But, really, the key word here is fun. Sure, the
Xtrainer is designed for the entry-level off-road rider
but anyone can have blast on this bike.
