Roberts had his second showing in the Supersport class
at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In spite of a poor start, it
was a good one. "I kind of got a little bit messed up at the
start," Roberts said. "It's a little bit of a bummer because I
thought I could be up with the front group. My times were
exactly the same as the front guys. If I had maybe just
had a little bit of a better start I could have been there.
Those guys [Cameron Petersen and Travis Wyman] had a
big gap on me. I really had to work to catch up to them. I
think it only took me about a lap to get around to them so
it wasn't too hard to get by them. Once I did it was kind of
just head down trying to catch the front group."

After the previous round at Laguna Seca, Bobby Fong
vowed to do a better job of getting up to speed quicker
to prevent JD Beach from pulling another disappearing
act. Mission accomplished. He was in the hunt both
parts of the restarted race, but had a different Yamaha
foe in the end: Garrett Gerloff. He had one last shot at
the win—a draft across the line. "I definitely didn't want
to lead in the last corner, but I thought for sure I could
maybe get by," Fong said. "But I did all I could. I put the
Triumph on the box at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
I couldn't be happier. Garrett rode an awesome race
and it was just fun battling with the guys. It was actually
the most fun I've had all year long. I have to give it up to
my crew. The bike was working so good. I could put it
wherever I wanted to. I have so much confidence going
into New Jersey. I just can't wait to get back to New
Jersey and a little bit tighter, a smaller track for our bike;
just keep the momentum going and hopefully end this
season with a win and stay positive."
Gerloff (31) held off Fong (50) to take home his second win of '15.
