SUPERBIKE MOTOAMERICA AMA/FIM NORTH AMERICAN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 8 / AUGUST 7-9, 2015 INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY/INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA P88 Josh [Day] and Shed [Sheridan Morais] and all these guys were really hauling, especially towards the end. So I wanted to stay on those guys and get that gap and make it a little easier on me at the end." Josh Day and Taylor Knapp major chatter. Up to that point, he'd been battling with Hayes and Lewis for third, but after the tire issue he had to hold on and watch his big lead over Josh Day diminish to just over two seconds by the end. In Sunday's race two, Gagne said everyone was bouncing off one another in the early going and he was caught up in the scuffle. "I hung in with Lewis as long as I could; he was riding re- ally good," Gagne said. "I knew Jake Gagne was the top non-factory rider in the overall results and won both legs of the Superstock 1000 division. It marked his 11th victory of the season, and he now has a glide path to the championship with a 43-point advantage over Taylor Knapp going into New Jersey. Gagne had to over- come problems in both races to win. In race one the tires on his RoadRace Factory Yamaha spun on the rim and caused Hayes (right) and Beaubier show a bit of respect. The Yamaha duo are the class of the field, with Beaubier now sitting 18 points clear at the top of the standings. Superstocker Gagne (32) got mixed in with the Superbikes of Hayes (1) and Lewis, eventually finishing fifth on the road and first in class.
