IN THE WIND P30 BIAGGI'S TEST RIDING FUTURE R egular Aprilia test rider and Aprilia Racing Team wild card rider, Max Bi- aggi spoke at Sepang about his potential future role for Aprilia as a test rider. "Nothing is clear, because the factory does not have a clear plan," said Biaggi. "For Superbike not so sure, it's more clear for MotoGP. They are going to be more devoted to MotoGP. Of course there is still a bike to be developed, but let Mr. Albesiano [Aprilia Boss] say. I prefer to just wait and when something happens, he will say." When asked if he would expect to not be doing any racing in the future, or some wildcard rides again. "More the first one," he said. "To do a wildcard is to do a surprise. To do a permanent wildcard is not a wildcard; it is something wrong. "We are just talking here, but if there is a program where as a test rider it is better to do a wildcard to test something during a race—then it can be ideal. But to be a wildcard just to do it, I think that does not make much sense." Gordon Ritchie YEP. IT'S REAL. R obbie Maddison is making history once again, and this time he has motocrossers' jaws on the floor, and surfers' boardshorts in a bunch. Riding a modified KTM 250 SX, "Maddo" man- aged to hydro-moto his way into history by com- bining his loves for surfing and motocross. In the culmination of a two-year project with DC Shoes called "Pipe Dream," Maddo not only rode the mo- tocross bike on water, but headed out into the open ocean where he managed to drop in on some world famous Tahitian waves. Get a look at the Pipe Dream trailer here – which received millions of views less than 12 hours from its release, and is already polarizing the surf community. Visit the DC website at DCShoes.com/PipeDream for a behind-the-scenes video of the stunt that nearly cost the Red Bull athlete his life. We're glad Maddo is okay, but we don't even want to know how many innocent KTMs were harmed in the making of this stunt… CN Max Biaggi says the plan is not clear. PHOTOGRAPHY BY GOLD & GOOSE
