Webb made the best of
less-than-ideal conditions
to claim the overall wins at the
Peterson Cat Washougal National
in the Pacific Northwest, where
weather almost always plays a
role in the outcome of this par-
ticular race, like it did this time.
As teams and riders filed in and
set up camp at the Washougal
site on Friday, they were greeted
with sunny skies and beautiful
weather, but like the locals always
say, just wait an hour. This time,
they waited a day and things did
change. Saturday turned wet and
grey, leaving the always tricky
Washougal track—even in the
best of conditions—into a muddy
mess. But Dungey showed why
he's leading the 450 Champion-
ship by a large margin, as he
was able to adapt to the tough
