clean section six this time. How-
ever, back-to-back fives by Bou
in seven and eight gave Raga a
slight opening, but the Gas Gas
rider was not able to capitalize
as he fived sections five, seven,
nine and 10 for a second lap
score of 22.
Meanwhile, back down the
order, Beta's Jorge Casales was
making an impressive run through
the extremely difficult seventh
section and then broke a wheel
in section nine, leaving him with
a score of 21 for the lap, while
Bou completed the 12-section
lap needing only nine points.
The sections became slicker
on lap two, and Bou added three
points to his first-lap score of
nine, needing 12 points to finish
the 12 sections, although he did
part of the section thinking Bou
was about to crash when in fact
he wasn't. After some discussion
with the observers, Bou was
given a five and sent on his way.
Raga, in the meantime, gained
back three points on Bou by fin-
ishing the section needing only
two points. But two more fives
to close out the lap pretty much
sealed Raga's fate as he fived
