Martin's chief title rival, Marvin
Musquin, had a day to forget,
going 8-3 for fourth overall.
Musquin actually led the second
lap of moto one, but ran wide
in a turn and got his front wheel
stuck in the deep mud and it
took a while for him to get going
again.
"I was able to get into the lead
and actually was doing pretty
and Jeannie Carmichael and
just putting in laps. To have last
weekend off, I had two solid
weeks of riding and putting in
a lot of work down there. So to
be back up here on the podium
is good for me. It lets the team
know that I'm not giving up.
For me it lets me know that the
team's not giving up on me. Like
I said, RedBud was a horrible
weekend and to have them still
behind me to be there and to
Savatgy's second in the first
moto was his best finish of
the season, and the Monster
Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki
rider backed it up with a fourth in
moto two for third overall.
"Obviously that first moto was
good," said Savatgy. "I felt good,
but I felt like a few mistakes cost
me that win but we were right
there at the end. For me that's
