tainly now. The buzz generated

Marquez and Valentino Rossi
who've adopted the sport for
training combined with the sale
of AMA Pro Road Racing to
the KRAVE Group, the series
has a lot of momentum on its
side and the complete focus
from Jim France and AMA Pro
Racing to bring flat track back
to not only its former glory, but
beyond.
On the road race side, the
newly branded Superbike se-
ries MotoAmerica has a similar
objective and they have well-
respected racer Wayne Rainey
to lead the way. Similarly, AMA
Pro also brought in a ringer—
Ronnie Jones.
Jones, like Rainey, belongs
to the "Class of '79," a year
with a pretty stout rookie class.
He raced in an era with some
of the best: Scott Parker, Ricky
Graham, Bubba Shobert,
Jay Springsteen and Chris
Carr. And he earned 10 Grand
National Championship main
event wins. Outside of his rac-
ing career, Jones has been a
race promoter and a sales and
marketing professional.

way for AMA Pro Flat Track—is
