FORWARD
RACING BOSS
ARRESTED
F
orward Racing boss Giovan-
ni Cuzari has been arrested
on suspicion of bribery, fraud
and money laundering through
sponsorship activities in Swit-
zerland.
The accusations throw the
future of Forward Racing into
serious jeopardy. The team is
currently one of the largest in
the MotoGP paddock, running
Stefan Bradl and Loris Baz in
MotoGP on Yamaha YZR-M1
machines, and Simone Corsi
and Lorenzo Baldasari in Moto2
on Kalex-framed machines.
Cuzari is accused of bribing
a local tax inspector, Libero
Galli, to ensure favors were
handed out to Cuzari's compa-
ny, Media Action Group. Galli
has been charged with abuse
of authority, passive corruption
and improper application of
fiscal regulations.
As it stands, both Cuzari and
Galli's assets and bank ac-
counts have been frozen while
they remain under arrest. As
Cycle News went to press,
Cuzari was due to face a local
magistrate's court to determine
if he will remain under arrest or
be released as the investigation
into links between himself and
Galli continues.
As Cuzari's and therefore For-
ward Racing's access to funds
have been frozen, it remains to
be seen whether they will be
competing at the next round of
the MotoGP World Champion-
ship at Indianapolis, August 7-9.

NEW MV AGUSTAS COMING FOR 2016
M
V Agusta is set to make waves in 2016 with
news the company will make three new
1000cc machines for the new model year.
The company has focused heavily on re-
vamping its three-cylinder range over the last
five years, with the F3 675, 800, Dragster
and Turismo 800 all finding homes across
the world, so now it's time to turn attention
to the four-cylinder line-up. MV already con-
firmed months ago it would be releasing a
new F4 Superbike, however we now know a
new Brutale is coming, plus a new machine
designed to take on the Ducati Multistrada
and BMW S 1000 XR in the road-focused
adventure sport category.
No further details have been released
by Varese, but you can expect the new
adventure machine to be closely linked to
the recently released Turismo Veloce 800,
a bike aimed at competitors like Triumph and the
Ducati Hyperstrada.

Cuzari is in deep trouble with the
Swiss authorities, and Forward
Racing's future is up in the air.
A new F4 is waiting in the wings, but
what else does MV have up its sleeve?
