B
eta's 2016 dual sport
models—the 430 RS and
500 RS—get a fair amount of
changes for the new year, but
the big news is they are now fit-
ted with electronic fuel-injection
systems.
Other motor changes include
new intake ports, with the 500
getting a new exhaust cam
with a new profile to provide
a more linear power delivery.
Both the 430 and 500 get a
new tri-phase 18 pole electric
ignition that supplies 200 watts
of power for quicker battery
charging; the battery is also
larger to improve starting while
the engine is hot.
The frame comes straight
from the 2015 RR Racing model
for improved handling. The
RSs also get new handlebars,
updated airbox, improved seat
foam, low-fuel-level light, and a
new plastic skid plate.
Hard core dual sport riders
will also appreciate the Beta's
new translucent fuel tank and
hand guard that now come
standard.
Both models will be avail-
able in November with MSRPs
of $9699 for the 430 RS and
$9799 for the 500 RS. CN
