race. I missed it by one spot
here, but I'm still happy about my
podium in the second moto. My
bike was awesome today."
Craig's second moto proved
that all he needs are good starts
and he can be a consistent
podium guy.
"I focused on my start and
ended up pulling the holeshot
and running up front for 15
minutes," Craig said. "The guys
caught me: Cooper Webb and
Jeremy Martin. Cooper got me
at about 18 minutes, and I tried
to stay with him and he ended
up going down. Jeremy got me,
and then with two laps to go
Zach Osborne got me." CN

the beginning of the motos, and
my speed was good, but it just
got worse and worse later in the
race."
Craig suffered a poor start in
moto one, but made up for it in
the second moto by nabbing the
holeshot on his GEICO Honda.
In moto one, Craig moved up as
high as fifth but dropped to sixth
when Alex Martin passed him on
the final lap.
In the second moto, Craig led
for the first eight laps before suc-
cumbing to Webb. Eventually,
Craig gave way to Martin, too,
but still finished a strong third for
sixth overall.
"That's my first-ever podium
and that's what I've been work-
ing for," Craig said. "I believe I
can be up there. That is my goal,
Once again, the 250 class took
another big swing in the race for
the title. Former leader Musquin
went from first to second after
a tough day at RedBud. A sore
wrist didn't help.
