Asked about Jonathan Rea's
assertion that Biaggi had an
advantage because his fresh en-
gine could be more highly tuned
than one of every other rider's
limited engine allocation, Biaggi
was adamant he had none, es-
pecially at Misano.
"Huge advantage?" Biaggi
responded. "Zero. Because here
there is no straight and only 270
kph [168 mph] so you cannot use
the speed and our gearbox is
very similar—to me and Jordi [Tor-
res] and [Leon] Haslam. Maybe
at Monza or this kind of track
then maybe—more than maybe—it
is possible to have this kind of
advantage. I think so because
you can use a fresh engine with
not so many miles and a proper
gearbox, but you need the fast
track to see a difference."
Biaggi also downplayed the
difference between his bike and
his teammates for the weekend—
Haslam and Torres.
"We did not make a proper
program for improvements," he
said. "We only did one thing to
test and then gave immediately
to them at Donington. So they
have exactly the same spec,
