With the possibility of a de-
teriorating course facing them,
race organizers limited morning
practice to just one session and
did away with the consolation
race all together. When qualify-
ing was over, it was Christophe
Pourcel who emerged as the top
qualifier for the second race in
a row, although Barcia showed
his liking of the conditions by
wheeling down the start straight
to begin practice.
