R
acing in adverse conditions is as much about
attitude as it is about ability and Justin Barcia
took on an upbeat approach heading into the
worst conditions of the season and came away
with his first 450-class overall victory, after Mother
Nature unleashed her fury on round six of the
Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Series at Budds
Creek Raceway. What started out as a light rain in
the morning turned into a full-bore torrential down-
pour before the second 450 moto, which left the
course sloppy and wet and forced a nearly two-
hour weather delay in the program due to tornado
warnings and lightening in the area.
