MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 8/JUNE 27, 2015
CIRCUIT VAN DRENTHE/ASSEN, NETHERLANDS
P70
really did a good job overnight
and this morning. I was able
to string together some 35s
and get into a good rhythm. I
got a great start, probably the
best start I got all year and the
first lap at the end of the back
straight we were all in a group.
Miller came in really fast and
pushed me off into the escape
road. So then I was absolutely
dead last. The bike was working
pretty good but I used up a lot
of tire to get through Melandri,
all those guys. I got close to
Baz but not enough to make the
move. It was a lot of work to not
get a point."
Miller didn't complete the first
lap, hit from behind by Avintia
Ducati's Hector Barbera as he
braked to avoid Bautista. Both
crashed out. Athina Yamaha's
Stefan Bradl also fell, breaking
the scaphoid bone in his wrist
two weeks before his home Ger-
man Grand Prix.
Rossi's fine third win moves
him a little way clear of the
threatening Lorenzo, now 163
Pol Espargaro (44) won the heated battle for fifth.
