to be a sponsor for Serne?
"I've always wanted to help out with the Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation," he said. "If I can get them on
as a sponsor and help raise money to find a cure
for that, than I'm all for that. If I can be success-
ful and help out the Cystic Foundation also, then
that's just a bonus."
Perhaps, even more than awareness is leading
by example.
"I just look at it as you live every day like it's your
last," Serne said. "You never know if you'll wake
up or not, so I just go out and have fun every day
and do whatever I want. Just hang out with friends,
don't just sit at home and mope around." CN
EXTRA CURRICULAR
It's always great to have a side job as a kid. It's even
better if you can continue to work on your craft at the
same time. Thankfully for Josh Serne he's found that.
He has helped out as an instructor at American Super-
camp—former racer and team owner Danny Walker's
dirt track school—for around six years now.
"Working with American Supercamp has been a
great help with my riding," Serne said. "I'm blessed to
have the opportunity to work with Danny [Walker] and
his team. Every time they come to California I get to
come out there and help and train with them. It's just a
great opportunity to have and great people to know in
the racing industry. I love it every time I get to go out
there and ride with them."
