swings. Monster Energy
Graves Yamaha's Camer-
on Beaubier led the MotoAmeri-
ca Superbike Championship for
11 races, but his veteran team-
mate, Josh Hayes, started to dig
himself out of a hole after Beau-
bier made an error at the previ-
ous round at Barber Motorsports
Park. At Miller Motorsports Park
Hayes grabbed a hold of that
momentum and heaved it in his
direction—winning both races
and taking over the points lead
in the process.
And the shift of momentum
wasn't just in taking the points lead
or in winning the races, but the
manner in which he won them.
THE CHESS MATCH
Hayes was not shy about sharing
his strategy before the race one
of the Superbike doubleheader—
get up front quickly, disappear
and win. Basically annihilate the
Josh Hayes (1)
came out on top
in the battle with
teammate Cameron
Beaubier (6) at Miller
Motorsports Park.
