WORLD SUPERBIKE WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 8/JUNE 21, 2015 MISANO WORLD CIRCUIT "MARCO SIMONCELLI"/MISANO, ITALY P96 BY GORDON RITCHIE PHOTOGRAPHY BY GOLD & GOOSE O n a day when the name on the lips of almost all the claimed 32,192 raceday fans was Max Biaggi, the green giants from the Ka- wasaki Racing Team were the ones with the biggest voices after the two 21-lap races at Misano. It was a perfect day for racing, the frisson created by Biaggi's presence, and strong practice showings, palpable to all. But it was the regular duo of Tom Sykes (race one) and Jonathan Rea (race two) who did all the winning. Their tag-team with the top trophies showed that Misano was a day of two very distinct races, with fortunes waxing and waning as we went from a morning race on a track at 89.6 F and a lunchtime race at 111 F. In race one Sykes took a start-to-finish win from pole, made it look easy almost, but for his teammate Rea, on a harder B rear tire, not the same A as everyone else, it was hard work to keep both Aruba.it Racing GREEN Once again it was the Kawasaki duo of Tom Sykes (66) and Jonathan Rea (65) that led the way in World Superbike.
