VOL. 52 ISSUE 24 JUNE 16, 2015 P51 S uzuki has today an- nounced details and pricing for the new range of Suzuki GSX-S1000 models. The GSX-S1000 will come in three guises—the naked S1000 and S1000 ABS, and the fully-faired 1000F ABS—with a starting price of just $9999 for the 1000S. The GSX-S1000 takes its four-cylinder engine from the legendary GSX-R1000K5, a machine lauded for its incred- ible midrange and top-end punch. Suzuki has retuned the machine via different cam- shafts for more bottom-end punch, and fitted the three- stage Suzuki Advanced Trac- tion Control System, which is changeable via a switch mounted on the handlebar. Also fitted to the S1000 range is Brembo Monobloc brakes, fully-adjustable 43mm forks and a preload and compres- sion damping adjustable rear shock. The GSX-S1000 will come in Metallic Triton Blue and Metallic Triton Gray color schemes, while the S1000 ABS and fully-faired 1000F ABS will get an added color scheme of Pearl Mira (red and black). The new range of GSX- S1000 machines will hit dealer floors towards the end of September. Suzuki is releasing the GSX-S1000 for just $9999.
