a half lap to get around holeshot-
ter Zach Osborne before run-
ning off with the second-moto
victory. With Martin getting two
bad starts and two fourth-place
finishes, Musquin could not have
asked for a better day.
"It was a perfect day," said
Musquin.
Musquin now leads Martin by
eight points.
NOT-SO-STELLAR STARTS
Unfortunately for Jeremy Martin,
his day was an all-day battle due
to bad starts. The Yamalube/
Star Racing Yamaha rider just
couldn't get the jumps off the
gate that he needed to chal-
lenge Musquin. Time and time
again riders talk about the
importance of a getting a good
start and Martin was a textbook
example of that.
He went into salvage-mode
in both motos, but Martin made
many passes on the day and
ended up with 4-4 finishes for
third overall.
SPEEDY BROTHERS
It's safe to say the Martin broth-
ers—Jeremy and Alex—have
speed in their blood. The two
Minnesota natives both landed
top-five finishes and spent a
good portion of the day battling
each other in both motos.
Alex's recent streak of bad
luck came to an end at High
Point after putting in two impres-
sive rides, but in a move that
ensured family bragging rights
for the week, Jeremy stole the
overall podium position via a late
second-moto pass on Alex, who
ended up fourth overall on the
day with 3-5 moto finishes on
his Cycletrader.com/Rock River
Yamaha.
