n celebration of the com-
pany's 60
th
anniversary, Ya-
maha will be offering limited
edition yellow/black YZ250Fs
and YZ450Fs for the model
year 2016. They will also be
available in traditional blue/
white.
Both bikes received some
performance updates, as
well. Most notable, both bikes
are now fitted with 270mm
oversized front disc brake
rotors, and the YZ450F
gets its first Launch Control
System. The 450 also gets
revised engine mounts, a
reshaped swingarm, new
intake- and exhaust-cam
profiles and a softer rear
shock spring.
Notable changes to the
2016 YZ250F include a new
flat-crown piston, revised
piston oil jets (for improved
lubrication and cooling),
refinements to the crankshaft
and counter-balancer, and
a new clutch boss and shift-
stopper in the transmission.
ECU settings have also been
revised for better top-end
performance.
Also returning are the YZ85
($4,090), YZ125 ($6,390),
YZ250 ($7290) two-strokes.
The YZ250F will have a
$7,590 MSRP ($7,690 limited
edition), and the YZ450F
$8,590 ($8,690 limited
edition). The YZ250F will be
available in late June, the
YZ450F late July.
