Y
amaha found another
good use for its YZ250
two-stroke motocrosser
by turning it into an off-road
bike! For 2016, Yamaha has
introduced the YZ250X that is
ready to go GNCC racing.
Simply put, the new YZ250X
is a YZ250, which got a
significant update last year, with
an 18-inch rear wheel, a sealed
O-ring chain, a five-speed wide-
ratio transmission, a petcock
with reserve position, a side
stand, off-road-tuned front and
rear suspensions, and a slightly
different exhaust pipeāit's
narrower at its widest point to
reduce the chance of damage.
It also features the YZ250's
KYB SSS spring/oil fork,
aluminum frame, ignition and
2.1-gallon gas tank.
The bike is expected to be
available late August with a
$7390 MSRP.
