THR MOTORSPORTS TOPS BAJA 500
A
lthough their rider of record was in Utah
with a broken neck, collarbone, hand and
foot, Ricky Brabec's team took advantage of the
excused absence rule in SCORE and still man-
aged to put together a winning race effort. Max
Eddy Jr., Ian Young and Justin Morgan piloted the
factory-supported THR Motorsports Monster En-
ergy Kawasaki KX450F to the overall motorcycle
win at the 47th Bud Light SCORE Baja 500.
Brabec's team was set to do battle once again
with the Ox Motorsports Honda of Colton Udall,
but Justin Morgan was able to pilot the 1x Kawa-
saki past the Honda team after Justin Jones went
down in a hard crash. Jones was reportedly hit
by a truck not in the race, and suffered a broken
femur. Following the incident the Ox Motorsports
team withdrew from the race.
"We will be ready to battle for the title at the 2015
Baja 1000," read a statement from the team. "Thanks
for all your support and we wish a speedy recovery
to our teammate Justin Jones."

RENET, BELINO AND REMES
RULE GP OF GREECE
I
t was a good weekend for
Husqvarna racers at the Grand
Prix of Greece where round four
of the 2015 FIM Enduro World
Championship got underway in
Serres, Greece. The Bel-Ray
Husqvarna Factory Racing team
claimed two double victories with
Pela Renet in the E2 division and
Matthias Belino in the E3 class.
The team's dominant perfor-
mance was a breath of fresh air,
especially for Renet. The French-
man has struggled with crashes
this season, and had more than
one victory slip through his fin-
gers in 2015. But the Frenchman
remained consistent and cool-
headed throughout the long and
demanding enduro tests.
Despite Renet's big win in
Greece, Antoine Meo still holds
the points lead. A pair of sec-
ond-place finishes allowed the
KTM rider to maintain a strong
position in the championship,
though the win may be just what
Renet needed to jumpstart the
second half of his season.
"I needed this result," Renet
commented. "To win both days
is great, not only for my cham-
pionship but also for my confi-
dence. Twice this year—in Chile
and Spain—I was leading and
crashed. And that really knocks
you. It's great to win."
Matthias Bellino continued to
dominate in the E3 class. On
both days the Husky rider bested
Aigar Leok and Matt Phillips, who
finished second and third, re-
spectively. On Saturday Bellino's
win came due to a penalty suf-
fered by Phillips, but on Sunday,
Bellino had the speed and the
confidence to win straight up.
"The GP of Greece was really
all about the enduro test," Bellino
explained. "Two wins as we pass
the halfway point of the series is
really good for me and the team."
In the E1 class, Eero Remes
showed the way aboard his
Factory TM leaving Yamaha's
Marc Bourgeois and Factory
KTM rider Christophe Nambotin
to battle for second. It was a
tight enough battle that ended
in a tie on Saturday between
the two. On Sunday, however,
Nambotin secured the runner-up
slot ahead of the Husqvarna of
Danny McCanney.
