T
he Street Bob from Harley
Davidson is a minimalist
bike mirrored off of what
made Harley popular back in the
'70s. Flashy silver flake paint,
red spoke wheels along with its
mini ape hangers, solo seat and
bobbed rear fender give this
Street Bob an old school look
that's currently popular with the
young'uns while at the same
time giving the seasoned crowd
flashbacks to the good ol' days.
Harley's 103 cubic inch twin-
cam engine is impressive. Our
dyno revealed the max rear
wheel horsepower was only
69.6 hp at 5300 rpm, but a
stomping max torque of 87ft-lbs
at 3300 rpmāthe seat-of-the-
pants dyno is definitely more
exciting. The Street Bob will
throw you back in the seat if you
choose to twist the throttle to the
stop. If you're in the mood for a
mellower ride, the 1690cc V-twin
engine of the Bobber provides
just as much pleasure when
used conservatively thanks to
its smooth power and spot-on
fueling. Even with the quiet Cali-
fornia exhaust there's something
about the rumble of a Harley
engine that no other manufac-
turer can replicate; though some
spend millions of dollars trying.

The Street Bob harks
back to the good ol'
days of flake paint,
crazy wheels and crazy
times. This thing will
turn heads...
