ing second to Dungey in moto
one. He sliced through the
pack to finish just behind Blake
Baggett, another rider who
snagged a top five overall finish
in fourth.
"I just put my head down
and started picking off guys,
and got myself up to fourth
place," Anderson said. "I was
really happy with that and knew
I could get a podium. It was
a good day, and that second
moto charge kind of made it
even better."
Anderson leaves Muddy
Creek with more confidence
coming into High Point next
weekend and that could mean
trouble for his competitors.
JGRMX HIGHS AND LOWS
Kudos to JGR Yamaha's Phil
Nicoletti for another good per-
formance at Muddy Creek. The
team recently got more funding
to keep him on as a full-time

headed to Ohio for a GNCC race the
next day! Sipes rode well, going 12-
10 for 10
th
overall, but he did much
better in Ohio, where he finished
second to series leader Kailub Rus-
sell.
Discount Tire/TwoTwo Motorsport's
Josh Grant was a no-show. He sat
it out with an injured knee, which left
Chad Reed to hold down the fort.
He had a tough day, though, crash-
ing on the first lap of moto one and
running into more troubles in moto
two.
Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawa-
saki's Joey Savatgy says that he's
been dealing with health issues. He
was not specific with what has been
ailing him, but said, "I haven't really
ridden since the first round. I am go-
ing to go home to the doctor and
kind of get things straightened out.
I got some things to get fixed and
when I do I'll be up there battling for
podiums."
