ROUND 3 / MAY 30, 2015
THUNDER VALLEY / LAKEWOOD, COLORADO

a little bit but got it much bet-
ter in the second moto. It just
flowed a lot more and I could
ride more like myself. I felt good
out there in the second one and
I was going to try to push again
in the last two laps just to keep a
good distance between me and
Ryan, but obviously I got a flat
and went down in that turn. I was
like, 'damn it.' I was so mad. I
got up and tried to make another
charge and jumped off the triple
and crashed again. I'm like,
'what's wrong?' I didn't know
what was going on. It started
turning really weird and I'm like,
something doesn't feel right. I
looked down and I had a flat. So
I just had to cruise on the last
couple laps and basically take
second place."
As for his back injury, Roczen
said it didn't bother him at Lake-
wood, but that it keeps him from
doing certain exercises, which
hurts his training abilities. The
German transplant said he was
going to try to find a specialist to
help straighten the problem out.
Baggett's Best
Blake Baggett earned his first-
career podium in the 450 class
after going 4-3. In the first moto
Baggett ran sixth early on in the
moto, but he eventually moved
up to fourth.
Moto two was much tougher
for Baggett, as he got off the line
just outside the top-10 and was
ninth at the end of lap one. The
Yoshimura Suzuki rider charged
through the field to finish third at
the end of the moto.
"It was definitely a good
week," Baggett said. "Practice
went well, got a fourth in the first
moto and then in the second
moto I was fortunate enough
to get a little bit of a gift when
the leader went down and I
was able to finish third. I'm just
plugging away and each week
is getting better and better. I got
third overall, so my first podium
on the 450. I'm just excited to
keep improving and I'm looking
forward to next weekend."
Tickle's Delight
Broc Tickle claimed his best fin-
ish to date with a 5-5 for fourth
overall, although he had to work
his way from the back of the
pack in the first moto to do so
due to a poor start on Thunder
Valley's infamous uphill start.
