BUY A NEW HELMET
Helmets save lives. Anyone who says they don't is an idiot. So there's no point in
having an old one on your head when a new, high quality helmet can be picked up for
as little as $250. The range for new helmets these days is truly staggering, and there's
a helmet out there for every head. Or if you're feeling up to it, get yourself a custom
helmet from Bell (www.bellhelmets.com/bell-custom-fit). Now you're really talking!
Gain: A comfortable, lightweight, new helmet will reduce wind noise, reduce rider fatigue
and help keep you alive in the event of a crash.

DO SOME RIDER TRAINING
Skilling up should be high on everyone's to-do list. You're never
too old or too young to improve, and removing the mindset of
rider training being only for beginners will be the first step to
unlocking a skill set you may not have thought you had. Rider
training will also help you get rid of some bad habits and
learn good ones. Riders like Jason Pridmore and Rich Oliver
and companies like Zars and California Superbike School offer
excellent riding courses and academies for you to brush up on
the finer skills needed for riding safer, faster, or both.
Gain: When you ride better, you feel better. Confidence breeds
confidence and this is vital when riding a bike.
