ROUND 4/MAY 29-31, 2015
ROAD AMERICA/ELKHART LAKE, WISCONSIN
P140
MOTOAMERIC A AMA/FIM NOR TH AMERIC AN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP
"I know how this place works,"
Gerloff said. "I've watched a
bunch of races here and I know
that the guy leading normally
isn't the one who wins in the
last corner on the straightaway
on the last lap. So Josh [Her-
rin] kind of caught me off guard,
broke pretty early for the last
corner. I just went underneath
him because I couldn't really
slow down anymore and didn't
want to. So I tried to just carry
as much speed as possible up
the inside and just get a perfect
drive. I wouldn't say it was per-
fect, but I thought it was good
enough. He pulled up next to me
and I didn't really expect it and
then I saw JD just go around the
other side and just knew I got
the short end of the stick on that
one. I'm still so disappointed, but
to be on the podium after crash-
ing out of the race yesterday
feels a lot better."
Rounding out the top five was
