SUPERSPORT ROUND 4/MAY 29-31, 2015 ROAD AMERICA/ELKHART LAKE, WISCONSIN P140 MOTOAMERIC A AMA/FIM NOR TH AMERIC AN ROAD RACING CHAMPIONSHIP "I know how this place works," Gerloff said. "I've watched a bunch of races here and I know that the guy leading normally isn't the one who wins in the last corner on the straightaway on the last lap. So Josh [Her- rin] kind of caught me off guard, broke pretty early for the last corner. I just went underneath him because I couldn't really slow down anymore and didn't want to. So I tried to just carry as much speed as possible up the inside and just get a perfect drive. I wouldn't say it was per- fect, but I thought it was good enough. He pulled up next to me and I didn't really expect it and then I saw JD just go around the other side and just knew I got the short end of the stick on that one. I'm still so disappointed, but to be on the podium after crash- ing out of the race yesterday feels a lot better." Rounding out the top five was Fong and Puerta. CN RACE ONE 1. Josh Herrin (Yamaha) 2. Tomas Puerta (Yamaha) 3. Ben Young (Yamaha) 4. JD Beach (Yamaha) 5. Bobby Fong (Triumph) 6. Kyle Wyman (Yamaha) 7. Javelin Broderick (MV Agusta) 8. Melissa Paris (Suzuki) 9. Garrett Gerloff (Yamaha) 10. Kaleb De Keyrel (Yamaha) RACE TWO 1. JD Beach (Yamaha) 2. Josh Herrin (Yamaha) 3. Garrett Gerloff (Yamaha) 4. Bobby Fong (Triumph) 5. Tomas Puerta (Yamaha) 6. David Anthony (Suzuki) 7. Cameron Petersen (Yamaha) 8. Kyle Wyman (Yamaha) 9. Ben Young (Yamaha) 10. Corey Alexander (Yamaha) (Left to right) Puerta, Herrin and Ben Young all played it smart to stand atop the podium in race one.
