until Hangtown. His doctors
said that he could not make the
injury worse by riding; he would
just have to endure the pain. To
relieve that pain, he was given a
local injection of medicine and
steroids (not to worry, he filled
out all of the proper paperwork),
but, unfortunately for him, it
would not take effect for a few
days—after Hangtown. It was ob-
viously working by Glen Helen.
He edged out Blake Baggett as
the top 450-class qualifier and
might've had finished out the
day on the podium had he not
tangled with Jason Anderson just
two turns into the first moto. He
was pinned under the bike for a
bit before rejoining the race. He
caught up to eighth at the end.
Roczen got off to a fast start in
the second moto, but a couple
of tip-overs kept him from chal-
lenging the two riders—Tomac
and Dungey—ahead of him.
The team said that Roczen is
feeling healthy again but is lack-
ing some endurance after sitting
on the couch for a week. They
say he should be 100-percent by
Colorado.
>>250 NATIONAL
Marvin The Magnificent
If you give Marvin Musquin an
inch, he will take a mile, and
that's exactly what he did at
Glen Helen in the 250 National.
When last week's overall win-
ner Jeremy Martin faltered with
mechanical and crashing issues
at Glen Helen, Musquin took
full advantage by winning both
Jessy Nelson (28),
Joey Savatgy (37)
and Justin Hill
(32) had a good
battle in the first
250 moto.
