and it was probably the best feel-
ing ever."
Also showing some impres-
sive speed was Team HRC
Honda's Evgeny Bobryshev. He
is clearly back on the rise, which
was obvious with his solid lap
times on the day. Despite not
getting off to the best of starts,
the Honda rider still managed to
put in two remarkable rides for
fourth overall.
Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna
Factory Racing's Max Nagl ap-
peared to struggle to find his
flow out on the slick and tricky
surface of Matterley Basin.
Despite getting good starts, the
red plate holder just had to do
his best to take as many points
as possible, which he managed
with fifth overall.
In MX2, Red Bull KTM's Jef-
frey Herlings and Guillod traded
1-2 moto scores, with Guillod
out-dueling Herlings in the sec-
ond moto to claim his second
straight win. Kawasaki rider Jordi
Tixier finished third overall, while
American Thomas Covington
went 7-10 for ninth overall.
Mike Alessi competed in the
MXGP class but struggled to
find the pace to keep up with the
top riders. In his first race since
suffering injuries at the Daytona
Supercross, Alessi ended up go-
ing 22-17 on the day.
