VOL. 52 ISSUE 21 MAY 27, 2015 P61
K
TM continues to support
the two-stroke class.
For 2016, KTM updated
all three of its big-wheel two-
strokes: 125, 150 and 250 SXs.
But most of the news comes
from the 125 and 150.
Both the 125 and 150—which
share basically the same pow-
erplant—have all-new engines.
They are more compact and
weigh about four pounds less,
and just about every part is
new, including piston and
cylinder.
Chassis has also been
significantly updated. The
125 and 150 share the same
chromoly steel frame, which
is all new and lighter. They
also both get new subframes,
lighter swingarms, new CNC-
machined upper triple clamps
that feature rubber-mounted
handlebars, lighter "No Dirt"
footpegs (which all of the SX
models now have), new airbox
and plastic.
The 2016 KTM 250 SX gets
new CNC-machined triple
clamps with 22mm offset and
rubber-mounted handlebars.
Wheels also have lighter
spokes.
