He is clearly back on the rise, which was obvious with his solid lap times on the day. Despite not getting off to the best of starts, the Honda rider still managed to put in two remarkable rides for fourth overall. Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing's Max Nagl ap- peared to struggle to find his flow out on the slick and tricky surface of Matterley Basin. Despite getting good starts, the red plate holder just had to do his best to take as many points as possible, which he managed with fifth overall. In MX2, Red Bull KTM's Jef- frey Herlings and Guillod traded 1-2 moto scores, with Guillod out-dueling Herlings in the sec- ond moto to claim his second straight win. Kawasaki rider Jordi Tixier finished third overall, while American Thomas Covington went 7-10 for ninth overall. Mike Alessi competed in the MXGP class but struggled to find the pace to keep up with the top riders. In his first race since suffering injuries at the Daytona Supercross, Alessi ended up go- ing 22-17 on the day.
