in the FIM Moto-
cross World Champion-
ship, mainly driven by
multi-time AMA Cham-
pion Ryan Villopoto's
big move to MXGP for
2015. Villlopoto's not the
only reason to tune into
GPs, there's another
American to cheer for in
the MX2 class—Thomas
Covington.
Born and raised in
Alabama, Covington is
one of the young up-and-
coming riders to keep an
eye on. The 19-year old
has been a little under
the radar on the U.S.
scene. That probably
has a lot to do with the
fact that he made the
unorthodox move straight
from Amateur ranks to
the World Championship.
