MOTOCROSS
LUCAS OIL AMA PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 1 / MAY 14, 2015
PRAIRIE CITY SVRA / RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIFORNIA
P60
"It was fourth gear on the
450, butt on the seat," said
Dungey of the jump.
Some of the 450 riders felt
that jumping the Fly 150 double/
single was just as quick as
tripling it, since it required so
much air time. At least that's how
they justified not jumping it. The
jump did launch them so high
into the air, so they may have
been right. Tomac and Dungey
and a few others, however,
didn't think so.
DELIGHTFUL DEBUTS
Rockstar Energy Racing
Husqvarna's Jason Anderson
could not have been much hap-
pier with his start to the outdoors
as a rookie in the big-bore class.
He finished out the day on the
podium in third with two solid
performances, going 3-7.
He admitted that his "arms got
tired and I kind of floundered" in
the second moto.
Yoshimura Suzuki's Blake
Baggett was also making his
450-class debut at Hangtown
and nearly got on the podium
and might've had Roczen not
picked up his pace when he saw
Ryan Dungey (5)
rode well but had
no answer for
Tomac. Chad Reed
(22) had two good
starts but drifted
backwards.
