MMP IN WAITING GAME
T
he recent announcement of
the Larry H. Miller Group not
renewing the lease on Miller Mo-
torsports Park in Salt Lake City
has put riders and drivers in the
Utah area on edge, with no im-
mediate announcement as to the
fate of the venue.
The park has been a financial
disaster for the LHM Group,
who are cutting ties with the
venue on October 31 after con-
structing it back in 2006.
However, despite rumors that
the venue would be shut down
and redeveloped with a new
Toole Country jail as one of the
projects in mind, nothing has
been confirmed regarding its
future.
"It's a huge ripple effect that
would create real problems here
if that were to happen," Michael
Hawkins, president of the Utah
Sports Bike Association, told
Fox 13 Salt Lake City. The park
currently has 91 full time em-
ployees, as well as individual
track day and race businesses
that use the venue as a source
of income.
"There are micro-economies
built around this, you have the
manufacturer, then you have the
vendor, then you have the shop
like mine who also runs a race
team - so we're dealing with
thousands of dollars in spon-
sorship on top of our everyday
business," Kelly Reese, Owner
of Trackstar bike shop, said to
Fox 13 Salt Lake City.
Toole County Commissioner
Shawn Milne was confident the
park would remain open in the
future, saying several individu-
als and companies "interested
in the assets" have approached
him.
A final decision on the park's
fate is not expected for some
months, but will be announced
close to the October 31 dead-
line.

O
rlando Bloom is not only one of Hollywood's biggest stars;
he's also a huge motorcycle fan. The British born actor had
had a long association with BMW and has just taken the wraps
off his latest custom machine—an S 1000 RR Superbike stripped
back into café racer with serious attitude.
Bloom collaborated with Michael "Woolie" Woolaway of Deus
Ex Machina to create the incredible machine, and also starred in a
short YouTube clip of the build dubbed "4CYL." Check it out here:
