WORLD SUPERBIKE
WORLD SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 5/MAY 10, 2015
ENZO/DINO FERRARI CIRCUIT/IMOLA, ITALY
P86
The only issue was that Torres
was 26 seconds from Rea, even
though he shared a podium with
him.
Some grumbled about the
new rules, some said Kawasaki
had an advantage, but Kawasa-
kis have always gone well here.
And nobody is going like Rea
this year anyway.
Ayrton Badovini proved his
worth again on the BMW, go-
ing fifth in race two at his home
round, five seconds behind the
battling and committed Giugliano.
Pata Honda's Sylvain Guintoli
had his equal best result of 2015
so far with fifth in the race-one
sprint. But unfortunately for the
reigning champ, he was one of
many fallers or retirees in race
two.
Race two was attritional,
meaning there were some weird
results, but for some it was
groundhog day, in a bad way.
Voltcom Crescent Suzuki
struggled again, with Thailand
podium man Alex Lowes 12th
and then 10th, and Randy De
Puniet a double no scorer. Leon
Camier's ride at the home of
his MV Agusta ended with two
technical issues. CN
