V Agusta has entered the
Touring segment for the
first time in 2015, and in
a highly focused way via two new
three-cylinder 800cc models
quite unlike anything else yet
produced by Italy's most historic
two-wheeled manufacturer.
First came the sports-slanted
800 Stradale weekend tourer/
commuter bike, which debuted
at Milan's EICMA Show last
November, and is already in
dealer showrooms around the
world. Now it's the turn of the
fully faired 800 Turismo Veloce
introduced one year earlier at
Milan 2013, that's finally reached
production as MV's entry into
the mid-to-high mileage touring
market. The chance to sample
the Veloce and test the every-
day practicality, combined with
sporting allure, that it aims to
bring to the marketplace, came
via a 143 mile ride into the hills
behind the elegant St. Jean-Cap
Ferrat resort on France's Côte
d'Azur. Which is just a stone's
throw from Monte Carlo, the
hang out for the kind of high roll-
ers whose Swiss bank accounts
