SUPERCROSS
MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD
FINAL ROUND/ MAY 2, 2015
SAM BOYD STADIUM / LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
P88
career Supercross start.
"Eli was on it today, and it
seems like he's been riding better
each week," Dungey said. "Today
we had the fastest qualifying time
but in the heat race we were just
a hair off his pace, just a little
bit, so I knew I had to step it up
for the main event. It was nice to
get a good start and get out of
the gate and just go. There were
a few areas where I was better
and a few areas where he was
better; we played cat and mouse
until he made a mistake. Gauging
him through out the rest of the
race, we were pushing. He was
definitely trying and I was trying.
Longer lap times today, over a
20-minute moto, the endurance,
all the hard work really paid off
tonight."
PEICK VERSUS REED
Weston Peick and Chad Reed,
who was returning from a shoulder
injury, tried picking up the excite-
ment slack after the Dungey/
Tomac battle dissolved. Peick
put his AutoTrader.com/JGRMX
Yamaha YZ450F into third place,
just ahead of Justin Brayton's
BTO Sports.com KTM SX-F 450
FE and Reed's Discount Tire/
TwoTwo Motorsports' Kawasaki
KX450F. Reed appeared to be on
the move. He quickly got around
Brayton for fourth and reeled in
Peick when he fell; tagging along
Malcolm Stewart
got the evening
program started
with a win in the
250 heat race.
